I always loved coming to visit you and nan,when max was alive and then popeye who used to lick his eyes and let on off and nearly choke us to death and charlie the myna bird who used to talk so much and i could never quite believe you that it was him talking and not you pretending.I used to spend hours watching you in your shed messing with bike parts and probably annoying you !!!.Your numerous collections of dinky cars,coin collections and railways used to facinate me even though we couldn't touch them as we all know how much you loved them.Your laugh always made me giggle and you were just the best grandad ever... I wish i had spent more time with you but as we all know too well kids grow up and get their own lives.OH..remember when all the grandfather clocks would all chime at once and nearly blow our eardrums,and it used to take you ages to wind them all up as you had sooooo many?An d the hours i would spend with nans dolls 2 sofas full !!! I have so many memorys and they are all good so thankyou for that grandad.Im sorry nan was taken from us also all those years ago..I still miss her all the time 2 but at least you are together once again now.I am glad we started writing to each other in the last few months as your letters and cards on xmas and my birthday took pride of place in our house and meant so very much to all of us.I dont want this letter to have to end as i will never be able to say goodbye but i hope your passing was pain free and you have nan once again.Watch over us all grandad and keep us all safe and hug nan for me and let her know how much i miss her aswell please.Me and the children are making a rememberance garden in our new house for you and nan and nan and grandad rhodes in the hope you will still be around us and we can enjoy seeing the flowers bloom every year and you will ALWAYS be in our hearts........
